Jolie Buberl
Director of Child Development Programs

Jolie joined CDA in 1989 as a Preschool Teacher and since that time has held many positions within the organization from Preschool Director, Early Childhood Specialist, Case Manager, and Program Director. Currently, Jolie oversees CDA’s large Alternative Payment Programs, Quality Preschool Initiative reimbursement and CDA’s three child development centers; programs that have a positive impact on over 15,000 children a year. Jolie found her calling to work with young children while attending the University of Nevada, Reno where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Child and Family Studies.

Jolie has a strong interest in Public Policy and how state and federal policies can impact the families CDA serves. Jolie has been a member of the San Diego County Child Care and Development Planning Council for over 15 years and currently is a member of the Executive Committee and the Public Policy Committee. Jolie also sits on the Public Policy Committee of the California Alternative Payment Program (CAPPA) and is a member of the California Child Care Directors Administrators Association.

During her free time, Jolie enjoys spending time with her young daughter and husband. Most weekends they can be found hiking, bike riding or taking in a movie or concert at one of San Diego’s great venues. Her family also loves to travel and spends many school vacations taking road trips to visit family or exploring California and beyond.
