Bonita, CA, November 13, 2021 – Child Development Associates (CDA) held its first Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Distribution Drive-thru Event to support over 300 child care providers with face masks, hand sanitizers, and disinfecting wipes. The materials were donated by the University of San Diego.
As many parents are returning to in-person work or school, the health and safety of child care providers are of great concern. PPE is a necessity for child care providers to keep children, parents, and their staff safe, but the expensive cost can be a burden. CDA’s PPE distribution aims to help child care providers maintain a safe environment during this transitional time.
“What an incredible event you had on Saturday. Did I mention how organized you guys were? I appreciate everything CDA does to support child care providers.” said one CDA Child Care Provider in attendance. “It was soooooo early and you guys were smiling and being so helpful and caring. Thank you for the cleaning supplies and for everything you do.”
Child care providers in need of PPE are encouraged to call 2-1-1, the county’s social services hotline. A 2-1-1 operator will provide locations and PPE distribution times closest to the caller’s area.
