CDA Receives “2024 CEO of the Year” Award
Bonita, CA – June 28, 2024– The San Diego Business Journal has awarded Rick Richardson, President and CEO of CDA, the distinguished “2024 CEO of the Year” award in the Nonprofit Organization category. This accolade recognizes Rick’s visionary leadership and the transformative impact he has made on CDA and the broader community.
Rick’s strategic foresight and collaborative approach have enabled CDA to become a beacon of opportunity for over 26,800 children and 5,000 child care providers across six counties. His leadership has resulted in a fourfold growth in CDA’s size and service capacity, recently expanding its reach from 6 to 24 counties in California. Under his guidance, CDA has established itself as a top organization where individuals can build impactful careers while changing the world.
Rick’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of both employees and clients has been instrumental in earning CDA accolades at both the local and state levels. His extensive community engagement includes serving on numerous boards, associations, and nonprofit organizations, championing the welfare of families and underserved communities. Known for his ability to unite diverse organizations to create synergistic relationships, Rick is a passionate advocate for policies and initiatives that uplift children, families, and childcare providers.
