Celebrate National Nutrition Month With CDA’s Nutrition Program

CDA is joining a nationwide celebration of healthy eating!

During the month of March, our Nutrition Program team members will have resources and handouts to help parents and providers build healthy habits. Visit our main office lobby to learn how simple record-keeping practices and a little bit of training can help child care providers start getting paid to keep your children healthy.

The campaign is designed to raise awareness of how the USDA’s Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) works to combat hunger and bring healthy foods to the table for adults in daycare and children in child care homes, centers, and in afterschool programs across the country.

Did you know…CDA is the largest CACFP provider in California!

The CDA Nutrition Program reimburses in-home child care providers for the healthy meals served to children in their care.

With healthy eating tools, training, and a full-time nutritionist it’s never been easier for child care providers to serve healthy food and save money.

By The Numbers (2017)

  • 1,200 Providers Enrolled
  • 14,244 Children Received Meals
  • 5,986,765 Meals Provided
  • $500 Average Monthly Reimbursement

Do you know someone who would like to join the CDA Nutrition Program?
