CDA Provider Referral Program
CDA is happy to announce the launch of our Provider Referral Program!
As this is a new service for families, CDA needs to build the referral list and requests your participation. We anticipate being able to begin providing CDA enrolled families with referrals by Spring 2019.
How do I participate?
To be eligible for referrals you must:
- Opt in and sign a participation agreement.
- Be a licensed family child care home or licensed child care center.
- Be in good standing with CDA, Community Care Licensing (CCL) and the YMCA Child Care Resource Services (CDA will not refer providers on Probationary. Status with CCL or on Do Not Refer Status with the YMCA)

Download Agreement FormHow will it work?
Upon request, CDA will refer enrolled families to licensed child care providers who have opted in and are actively participating on CDA’s Alternative Payment Program. Providers will be selected randomly and basic contact information will be supplied to the family. The family chooses if they want to make contact with the provider or not. Families will receive up to 4 provider names per request.
Am I obligated to take a family who is referred?
You have no obligation to enroll a family who is referred to you. You will continue to have the ability to accept families or not based on your capacity or other policies.
Nor does a family have an obligation to choose your program. The referral process is a service to help families find child care quickly, but they still have the ultimate choice in where to place their children.
Do I have to receive referrals?
Providers are not required to enroll on CDA’s Provider Referral Program and if you choose not to be involved it will not impact your participation on the Alternative Payment Program.
When will I start receiving referrals?
We must have a good pool of providers participating before we can make referrals. We anticipate by Spring 2019 we will have enough providers to have opted in to announce to families this new service. Once we begin making referrals we cannot guarantee how often your name will be referred as it will be based on a randomized selection or if families will choose you.
I want to participate, what do I need to do?
To participate we need you to opt in. Download the CDA Provider Referral Participation Agreement form here and return to CDA. You may submit your completed and signed form by mail, drop off at our offices, or upload via CDA’s website.
